Birding, boardwalks and beaches
This KwaZulu-Natal birdwatching adventure informed, awed and empowered!

KwaZulu-Natal is home to a flock of expert female bird guides (who often had to beat the uphill odds), and we went to underrated Umlalazi to meet them.
We collaborated with BirdLife South Africa we were guided by their expert female community bird guides. Female guides are few, and a big focus for us is highlighting the female experts in their field.
